How to change your Minecraft skin on Bedrock

Bedrock is one game on every device, so the skin screen is the same whether you play on a phone, a PC or a console: the Dressing Room. You do not need an Xbox account to wear a skin you imported yourself.

  1. Open the Dressing Room From the main menu tap the Dressing Room (the coat-hanger, also reached by editing your character). On console it is the same tile in the profile screen.
  2. Go to Classic Skins Pick the Classic Skins tab. This is where imported and owned skins live, apart from the Character Creator ones.
  3. Choose or import Tap a skin you already have, or Choose New Skin to import a PNG from this site. Pick Steve (square) or Alex (slim) arms so the sleeves fit.
Want a different skin colour or style? Import a new PNG - Bedrock has no in-game recolour, the colour is baked into the skin file.
  4. Equip Tap Equip. The change is instant and sticks across worlds and servers (unless a server forces its own skin).
